one day event, there’ll be more than just vegan food to enjoy on the day. Hundreds of exhibitor stalls, guest speakers, 50 plus food and drink vendors, fitness zone, kid’s activity area, cooking demonstrations, ancestral eating and gardening area, a fashion show, art exhibition, speed dating, music and performances are just a few examples. Stay in touch via the Facebook and Event page.

The Vegan Ancestry area is a good place to reconnect with your food in regard to how it’s grown, prepared and eaten. The focus is on ethical values about where it comes from and how we can all work towards its sustainability. This area is where you’ll find demonstrations on growing your own veggies, learn about fermentation, preservation and food prep, be it raw or cooked. Mindful eating will bring to mind how our ancestors ate and the benefits this has to both the person and the community. There’s a lot we can learn from the past.

This year, there’s a new destination, the Vegan Paleo area. Experts will highlight the vegan and paleo diets and the history behind it. The controversial paleo vs vegan paleo diet and the negatives of a meat centred paleo diet will be talked about.

For those who want to find out more about going vegan, the Veg Vic Zone (Vegan Voices) might interest you. A panel of experts from Vegetarian Victoria will be there to answer all your questions. Please keep checking the website closer to date for updated details about speakers.

One of the popular fun activities has to be ‘speed dating’. This drawcard is a great way for like-minded people to meet at a fast pace that hopefully avoids awkwardness and discomfort. You could meet, connect and network with a large diverse range of people, for free. Put the date of this amazing event in your diary and keep checking back for details.
